We specialise in restoration and stabilisation treatments to clean, repair and preserve objects and artworks, collections, sites, sculptures, monuments and archaeological artefacts.

At One Conservation we work as
hands-on conservators, consultants and project managers to preserve cultural heritage for everyone.

Our services include condition assessments, conservation specifications and treatments, preventive conservation, whole-of-collection preservation, exhibition preparation and installs, object handling and disaster recovery. We love working collaboratively with our clients and with community. We can assist with grant applications, museums skills training, and collection management and storage.

We’re based in Melbourne and Sydney but love travelling to different corners of the country whenever opportunity allows.

our people

One Conservation was started by friends and conservators, Karina Acton and Frances Paterson.

Karina and Frances have worked extensively in Australia and internationally. Between them they have over 30 years’ experience delivering heritage, archaeology, art, gallery and museum conservation projects.

They are members of Australia ICOMOS and professional members of the AICCM
